How to use Stairs, Escalators and Elevators
MRT Pink Line escalators operate at a higher speed than common escalators. Passengers should exercise caution.
- Stand or walk to the right and hold the handrail whenever traveling up or down stairs or escalators.
- Do not lean against the sides or lean over the handrail of the escalator.
- Do not obstruct stairs and escalators.
- Do not lean your head outside the escalator’s handrail.
- Do not stand too close to the edges of the escalator steps.
- Do not place your feet too close to the sides of escalators.
- Do not run, play, or push others while using stairs or escalators.
- In case of emergency, press the Emergency Stop Button on the escalator and notify station staff immediately.



Please follow these instructions to use the elevator
- Take extra care of small children, the disabled, and the elderly while using elevators.
- Do not exceed the weight limit of the elevator.
- In case of an elevator malfunction or requiring assistance, press the yellow bell button to alert station staff immediately.
- Do not use elevators during a fire.
