Do’s and Don’ts of Riding the MRT Pink Line
When at the Station
Do
- Pay attention to any announcements and follow NBM instructions carefully.
- Maintain cleanliness, and dispose of garbage in provided receptacles.
- Contact station staff if feeling unwell or in need of assistance.
- Notify station staff in the event of a loss, discovery, or retrieval of an item.
- Notify staff immediately of suspicious persons, actions or objects.
Don't
- Do not smoke or bring flammable or hazardous chemicals into the train system.
- Do not bring any type of animal into the train system.
- Do not eat or drink in the train system.
- Do not drop any item from the station.
- Do not carry over-sized or exceedingly heavy items into the train system.
- Do not draw or damage any equipment in the train system.
- Do not wear skates or wheeled shoes, skateboard, or ride bicycles inside the train system.
- Do not make loud noises, cause a disturbing manner or otherwise inconvenience other passengers.
Do
- Stand in line and keep belongings behind the yellow line while waiting for trains.
- Take extra care of small children while waiting for trains, entering or exiting the train.
- Allow passengers to exit the train first.
- Mind the gap between trains and platforms.
- Stop and wait for the next train upon hearing door alarms.
- Notify station staff immediately if an object falls into the tracks.
Don't
- Do not run, play, or push others on platforms.
- Do not enter the tracks area due to the dangers posed by trains and high-voltage electricity.
- Do not enter restricted areas of the platform.
Do
- Hold straps, stanchions, or handrails while traveling.
- Offer your seat to children, pregnant women, the elderly, and disabled passengers.
- Offer your seat to monks.
- Take care of your belongings while boarding the train system.
- In case of emergency, notify the conductor immediately.
- Use emergency and safety equipment in emergency situations only.
Don't
- Do not lean against train doors, stanchions, or stand in door areas.
- Do not hold or grab rubber shields between carriages as they may cause danger.
- DO not place your hands on the doors.
- Do not place objects on floors and in walkways.
- Do not eat or drink in the trains.
